Fly with "Mama Bird"

In celebration of Spring and Mother’s Day, folk/soul duo, Joselyn & Don, are releasing their third single, “Mama Bird” on May 22nd. Its minimalist lyrics capture the tugs at a mother’s heart: wanting to soar, wanting to stay close to care for young ones, and the pain when they leave the nest. In this time of quarantine, these elemental struggles are put into high relief, and we feel our connection with nature more strongly. Interlocking acoustic guitars complement the song’s soulful feel, and Joselyn’s intimate vocals tug at the listener. Janna Matteoli adds sweet background vocals that bring it all together. “Mama Bird” is an offering to mothers everywhere, and to the children they raise.

The heartfelt "crowdsourced" lyric video for "Mama Bird" by Joselyn & Don came to be after over 100 photos were submitted to us from fans, friends, and family who heard our call for special moments featuring motherhood. Don's tasteful editing came in handy, crafting the photos into a story of the common threads that bind us. Please share this video offering with your mothers and those you love!

Few parrots are wholly sedentary or fully migratory. Most fall somewhere between the two extremes, making poorly understood regional movements, with some adopting an entirely nomadic lifestyle.[55] Only three species are migratory – the orange-bellied, blue-winged and swift parrots.
